THE BEATS
Music and Urban Culture in Vietnam-

Last saturday, Saigon witnessed a step forward to the Bass (even though its only a baby step, but its better than no step).
With 3 events happened around town that has Reggae influenced vibes,
“True Roots @ Vasco’s” with Jerk Selectah, also’s The Beats‘ own party, “Saigon Shuffle 2” at Cage with me (DJ Jase) and Von Knappe on the tunes duty. Knappe dropped some ragge electro tunes to warm the crowd up, then i played a dubstep, dancehall set, it was a fun night. However the star of the night for me is the after party called “After Hours Ragga Muffins” at the infamous late night venue, Long Phi Bar, which is hosted by The Beats and 9 Dragons. For the first time in a long time i can feel the underground vibe at a party, i can really see bass music to sprout from this late night. Will definately be more of After Hours Ragga Muffins parties to come.
